The Los Angeles Chapter of the CPCU Society has organized a free Speakers Bureau to assist organization leaders, meeting planners, and educators in finding property and casualty insurance experts to speak to their groups.

Speakers are available on a variety of insurance-related topics, and are able to address any tpe of audience—from students to insurance consumers, as well as other industry professionals. Speech topics include careers in insurance, auto insurance, earthquake and flood insurance, protecting your home, and insurance fraud.

Speaker Qualifications George M. Wallace, is a founding partner with the Pasadena, California, law firm of Wallace & Schwartz. His practice concentrates in the area of property and casualty insurance coverage issues -- including coverage opinions, representation of insurers and insureds in declaratory relief actions and the litigation of "bad faith" claims -- as well as appellate practice, defense of professional liability cases and business litigation. Mr. Wallace earned the designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters in 1991.

Mr. Wallace received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1978 from the University of California, Berkeley, and his Juris Doctor degree in 1981 from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law. He is admitted to practice before all California state courts, as well as all four California districts of the United States District Court and the Ninth Circuit United States Court of Appeals.

Mr. Wallace is a member of the CPCU Society�s Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley chapters and currently serves as Vice President of the Los Angeles Chapter. He served as an officer and director of the San Gabriel Valley chapter beginning in 1992, and was President of the chapter for 1996-97. He was the recipient of the Rie R. Sharp Memorial Award as �Insurance Person of the Year� for the year 2000, awarded by the Los Angeles Area Chapters of the CPCU Society. In 2006 he became a member of the Section Committee for the CPCU Society�s Consultants, Litigation and Expert Witnesses Section [CLEW]. Mr. Wallace speaks and writes regularly on legal and insurance topics, and teaches legal and insurance-related subjects as an instructor with the Insurance Educational Association (IEA).

Mr. Wallace was born December 6, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan. He and his family reside in Glendale, California.
