“Managing Business Exposures in Mexico”

Mexico's history, economy, social and cultural aspects vary from those of the United States. Additionally, there are different insurance coverages and policy forms, yet there are similarities. Mr. Buendia will give a comprehensive overview of the Mexican insurance market that will enhance your knowledge to the benefit of your customers and company that engage in business with Mexico who is one of the USA's major trading partners.. Educated as an electrical engineer, he has been in the insurance business since 1983, earning his CPCU in 1996 and currently specializes in the placement of admitted Mexican insurance coverage.

Electronic Engineer graduated from La Salle University in Mexico City, Mr. Buendia has been in the insurance business since 1983. He worked for AON in Mexico City as a loss control engineer and account manager for multinational business. In 1988, he relocated to the US to work as a senior casualty underwriter. In 1990, he moved to Los Angeles as Vice President to manage the liaison office for Seguros Comercial America (now AXA), the largest insurance company in Mexico and now acquired by the PROTEC Group and operating in the USA under the name of MacAfee & Edwards, Inc.
